Debut Album:
"
Romanticism"

Piano Album: "Minimalism"

Cover Arts

Cover arts for a for a classical genre album "Romanticism".

ā€‹

The concept of these album covers is evoke a sense of elegance, simplicity, and nostalgia.ā€‹ The contrast of monochrome tones reflects the timeless nature of the piano, capturing both its sophistication and raw emotional depth. This color scheme allows the viewer to focus on the form and texture of the keys or the pianist, often enhancing the feeling of intimacy and purity in the music.

ā€‹

Black and white covers are especially fitting for classical piano albums, as they subtly reference the instrument’s iconic color palette while conveying a mood of contemplative introspection.

ā€‹

Album cover that feature a pianist and a ballerina together, then separate, visually narrate a story of connection, harmony, and ultimately, individual expression. When shown together, the pianist and ballerina represent the fusion of music and dance, symbolizing how one art form inspires and supports the other. Their presence in the same space suggests a unified rhythm and emotion, as the pianist creates the music that guides the dancer’s movements. As they separate, the covers might reflect themes of independence and personal journeys, indicating that each artist must follow their own path even though they share a creative bond. This progression from togetherness to separation can evoke a sense of longing, growth, or artistic evolution, capturing the bittersweet balance between collaboration and individuality.

Cover art creation process for a classical genre album "Minimalism"

ā€‹

ā€‹Creating the album cover for “Minimalism” began with choosing the right image a pencil sketch of a pianist, which captures the essence of simplicity and focus central to minimalism.

ā€‹

I selected this image to evoke a sense of calm and introspection, reflecting both the minimalist music genre and the philosophy of less is more.

ā€‹

Next, I chose a clean, elegant handwritten font for the word “Minimalism,” ensuring it complemented the sketch without overpowering it, maintaining the minimalist aesthetic. Together, these choices created a cohesive, understated design that invites viewers to appreciate the beauty of simplicity.

ā€‹

The subject of the artwork, a pianist, suggests a connection to minimalism in music, a genre pioneered by composers like Philip Glass and Steve Reich in the 20th century. Minimalist music often features repetitive structures, simplicity, and a focus on subtle variations, mirroring the visual simplicity of the sketch.

These designs incorporate stitched or ironed-on patches like flowers, music notes, or planets to create a bold, playful look.

The floral patches add a soft, artistic touch, while music notes reflect a love for melody and rhythm. Planet patches evoke a cosmic, adventurous vibe. Together, these elements enhance the denim’s visual appeal, making it unique and expressive.

Sound design and video editing

ā€‹Nature sounds and video recordings capture the  beauty and raw power of natural environments, immersing the viewer in the sights and sounds of the outdoors. These recordings can range from gentle bird calls and rustling leaves to the crashing of ocean waves or a thunderstorm, offering a sensory escape and promoting relaxation. By bringing the essence of nature into everyday spaces, they provide a calming experience that can reduce stress and connect people with the natural world, even indoors.
